Boston Public Art Triennial is the city's first and only public art organization dedicated to supporting artists and communities in bold, contemporary, public art. The Triennial's mission is to foster relationships between artists and the public to create bold public art experiences that open minds, conversations, and spaces across Boston, resulting in a more open, equitable and vibrant city. The inaugural Boston Public Art Triennial will run for six months across the city from May 22 to October 31, 2025.
About Evelyn Rydz: Evelyn Rydz (b.1979) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores connections between bodies of water, personal histories, consumer cycles, and threats to natural and cultural ecosystems. Rydz is a recipient of the 2024 Boston Artadia Awards, the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters & Sculptors Grant, Brother Thomas Fellowship, SMFA Traveling Fellowship, U.S. Latinx Art Forum Charla Fund, and Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship.
About Alison Croney Moses: Alison Croney Moses (b. 1983) is a Boston-based artist primarily working in wood, investigating craft, community, identity, and motherhood. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Rose Museums, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C.
We will meet at Tatte Bakery, 40 Warren St, Boston, MA 02129, for Coffee, Tea, Pastries, and an Introduction to Triennial 2025: The Exchange from Boston Public Art Triennial Executive Director, Kate Gilbert, and from there walk to the Lot Lab in Charlestown Navy Yard.
